The Second Annual Savannah Civil War Relic and Bottle Show will take place Saturday October 2 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday October 3 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Alee Shriner Temple ( 10 Eisenberg Drive).  Admission will be $5.00 for adults and teenages and free for children 12 and under.

The Show will have approximately 170 tables with collectors and vendors displaying their Revolutionary War through Civil War relics.  On display will be such items as bottles, buttons, books, china, jewelry, swords, Civil War uniforms, coins, rifles and muskets, artillery shells, and photographs.  Some items will be for sale and others are just show displays by collectors.

This is a great way to see some of the history of the region and meet a lot of interesting people.  The vendors and collectors are very knowledgable about this time period of our countries history.  Just meeting some of these people and listening to their stories might spark an interest in a person to consider metal detecting as a new hobby.

Imagine a soldier sitting around a camp fire with idle time on his hands.  Also, make available to these men soft lead bullets or the scrap camp lead that was spilled while making the bullets.  These soldiers have carved many wonderful lead figures or items that have been found by metal detectorists and these are one of a kind items.  Carved figures, chess pieces and poker chips are just some of the creative items that will be on display at the show.

If you have the time this weekend come visit the Second Annual Savannah Civil War and Bottle Show.  It is a great way to spent time with the family or as an individual and see some very interesting Revolutionary and Civil War relics or bottles.
